Lou started playing music at age 7 and began writing songs at age 14. Multi-instrumentalist, he played in a variety of bands, spanning a wide spectrum of styles which included Indy rock, punk, pop, reggae, funk and world music. He worked as a studio and stage musician, collaborated on several albums and has toured in Europe, the USA and Brazil. 

After having collaborated on several studio albums as a composer, arranger, producer or session musician, he launched his first solo album in 2023.  This album -Green & Grey - is introspective and intimate. With meaningful word play lyrics (some incomprehensible unless you actually speak Flemish), the songs have warm acoustic sounds with an upbeat Sunday afternoon feel. In this album, Lou dives into the expression of emotions, be they of love, loss, expectations or desires.

Lou is currently recording his second solo album.
